Parents and guests are invited to visit and view classes, speak to the teachers and meet our administrative staff. We encourage all parents to attend at least one class throughout year so they get to see behind the scenes of a dance college or academy, and experience a day in the life of a dance student.

In addition, we also hold open days for visiting regional schools.  Regional students get the opportunity to sit in on a pre-professional class and also receive open ballet classes conducted by the college teachers.

For information regarding the next open day, please email us on admin@mwmdance.com or phone 02 49529294

Held at the fabulous St Phillips Christian College Theatre, our mid year showcase is an excellent way for parents and families to experience syllabus and competition pieces that the students have been working towards in their privates and group classes. It also provides an opportunity for students to have a dress rehearsal on stage in front of an audience with costumes, lights and sound.

We love holding concerts and the students love them too! Our concerts are renowned and highly professional with elements of live music, narration, creative projection and beautifully designed costumes. Each year we aim to enhance our productions by incorporating a new facet of production or theatre.

In 2015 we were excited to announce a triple bill performance for our end of year concert. Through our dedicated patron we have the opportunity to commission a unique piece of music for dance composed and performed live by Matthew Hindson and a small ensemble of musicians. This is an amazing opportunity for students to respond to choreography specific created to commissioned pieces. There is something very special about performing to an audience to live music. Check our news announcements for further information. See Showcase tab below for our mid year performances.

Each school holiday, we hold valuable and not to be missed workshops for students wishing to continue dancing through their term break. The workshops are always different with a host of visiting guest dancers, teachers and professional performers. These programs are delivered to expose our students to a range of diverse dancers and styles to challenge and excite students at every level.

One of the exciting benefits of the College and Academy is the diversity of workshops, performances and special events our students experience throughout the training year. All of these experiences are designed to enhance life long memories of dance and build long lasting friendships along the way.
