Kirsty train for three years at The Australian Ballet School, under the direction of Gailene Stock, before graduating in 1995. Kirsty joined the Australian Ballet Company in 1996, where she performed a wide range of classical ballet and contemporary works, before being promoted to soloist in 1998, and to senior artist in 1999. In 2000, Kirsty joined Nederland’s Dan’s Theater in Den Haag, where she worked with the renowned choreographer Jiri Kylian. She performed an extensive range of contemporary ballets, and worked with choreographers’ such as; Johan Inger, Jorma Elo, Paul Lightfoot and Ohad Naharin.

Kirsty returned to the Australian Ballet Company in 2002, and performed in the world premier season of Graeme Murphy’s ‘Swan Lake’, and the following year was promoted to Principle Artist. She performed most of the traditional classical ballets, as well as new works throughout her time as a dancer. Kirsty was awarded the prestigious Benois de la Danse award in 2009, and was invited to perform in Moscow at the Bolshoi Theatre. During my career Kirsty became a mother to two beautiful children, and resumed back to the stage each time, and continued for several years balancing a career and motherhood. She decided to retire in 2011, after having a successful and fulfilling career on the stage.

After some time away from dance, Kirsty has undertaken a teachers’ course (Graduate Diploma In Elite Dance Instruction- Australian Ballet School).

In 2013/2014 Kirsty was a part time ballet instructor at The Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS), and also The Victorian College of the Arts Tertiary. In 2015, She was offered a full time position at The Australian Ballet School and is currently enjoying her role as a ballet instructor to both Level six and four full time female students.

DAVID MACK – Guest Artist, Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer

imgres David is one of Australia’s leading Dancers.  Having trained at Victorian College of the Arts between 1998 and 2001, David joined Western Australian Ballet company in 2002.  Performing many soloist role, David left WA to join the prestigious Rambert Dance Company as a principal and soloist in 2004.   David-2-930x562Adding to his extensive career David ventured overseas and as a principal guest artist for Pheonix Dance Theatre later guest teaching for them, Australian Dance Theatre and Norther School of Contemporary Dance.   In 2009 David rejoined Western Australian Ballet performing numerous principal roles.  In 2014 he joined Rafael Bonachela’s Sydney Dance Company, which lead to David being one of the Hero’s of the Lexus Into the Future Campaigns
